Jewellery Care

As much as we work towards providing you with the highest quality products at affordable prices, please remember that these products are plated, and not pure gold. Only pure gold would last a lifetime (but even pure gold loses its shine and would need polishing after some time)

That said, there are certain tips and measures that can help your plated jewellery have a long shiny life.

  1. Remove your jewellery before you swim in chlorine or salt water.
  2. Remove your jewellery before participating in activities that will cause you to sweat a lot.
  3. Wait to put on your jewellery until after you have applied lotion, makeup or perfume.
  4. Remove jewellery if you will be bringing it into contact with something hard. (For example, take off your ring before lifting weights.)
  5. Store your plated jewellery where it won’t rub against other hard substances (a soft bag—one per piece of jewelry—is ideal).
  6. Rotate you pieces instead of wearing one item for a very long time

Wipe your gold plated jewellery after each use, using a soft cloth to remove any dirt or debris. You may also soak it for a few minutes in warm, soapy water and dry it with a soft cloth as needed (or a soft toothbrush to clean small cracks and crevices).
